Day 2 Recap: AI.DEAS for Impact 2025 Hackathon
Day 2 of AI.DEAS for Impact 2025 was a vibrant celebration of student innovation, expert insights, and collaborative energy. With a strong focus on ethical and applicable AI solutions, the event continued to empower senior college students from across the Bicol Region.
This event was made possible through the collaboration of key partners and sponsors:
DICT Region V, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence Association of the Philippines (AAP), SETPH (Stimulating the Growth of Emerging Technologies in the Philippines), ICT Industry Development Bureau (IIDB), and the Education Center for Artificial Intelligence Research (ECAIR).
Morning Sessions: Career Pathways in AI
The day began with a recap of Day 1 and an overview of the exciting agenda ahead. The spotlight then turned to Plenary Session 3, which focused on Careers in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Hackathon Session 4: Final Demo Prep
From 10:21 AM to noon, teams finalized their Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and prepared for the final demo presentations. Mentors provided last-minute feedback and encouragement as teams refined their pitches.

Participants enjoyed a break while connecting with peers, mentors, and industry professionals — a great opportunity to build relationships and exchange ideas.
Afternoon: Final POC Demo Presentations
From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, ten teams presented their AI-enabled solutions to real-world problems. Each demo reflected technical skill, creativity, and a commitment to ethical AI.

- 🥇 1st Place – Ateneo de Naga University
- 🥈 2nd Place – Bicol University
- 🥉 3rd Place – CSPC’s Team INFRA 🎉
Team INFRA’s solution stood out for its innovation and relevance, earning them a well-deserved spot in the top 3 — guided by their mentor, Allan O. Ibo, Jr., MSc.

While Team FoodCast didn’t place in the top 3, their project — TaraTrabaho: Smart AI Trabaho Assistant — was a standout. Focused on enhancing employment access and job matching through AI, TaraTrabaho showcased how technology can empower communities and improve livelihoods. Their dedication and creativity truly embodied the spirit of the event — proudly mentored by Tiffany Lyn O. Pandes, MSc.
