Overview
The Extension Program of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) is a dynamic initiative that bridges academic expertise with community development. Rooted in the college’s commitment to social responsibility, the program empowers individuals, schools, and organizations through technology-driven education, training, and collaborative projects. It aims to foster digital literacy, promote innovation, and contribute to inclusive growth in the local and regional communities.
Programs and Services
1. ICT Literacy Training
Workshops and seminars on basic computer operations, internet safety, productivity tools (MS Office, Google Workspace), and digital communication for students, teachers, and community members.
2. Tech4Teachers
Specialized training for educators on integrating technology into teaching practices, including learning management systems (LMS), educational apps, and digital content creation.
3. Community-Based Systems Development
Collaborative projects where CCS students and faculty develop customized software solutions for local barangays, schools, cooperatives, and small businesses (e.g., inventory systems, e-governance platforms, Events tabulation system).
4. Cyber Wellness and Online Safety
Awareness campaigns, radio sessions and interactive sessions on responsible internet use, data privacy, cyberbullying prevention, and digital ethics.
